Is there public transportation nearby?
There’s a bus stop 30 meters from the estate. By bus, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Ravensburg, 20 minutes to reach Tettnang and 30 minutes to reach Friedrichshafen. The bus comes to Bottenreute 10 times daily. From the Obereschach bus stop, buses leave more frequently – every 20 minutes. The Obereschach stop is approximately 1.5 km away from the estate, or roughly 15 minutes away by foot. For bus route information visit: www.bodo.de. You’ll find the Bottenreute bus stop on Line 3.
Does the price include utilities (heat, hydro) and cleaning the apartment at the end of my stay?
Yes, always. Guests here on holiday pay no utilities or cleaning charges.
Note: Guests staying fewer than 5 nights will be charged a standard short-term-guest fee.
Can I book an apartment for just one night or a weekend?
In principle, yes. However, we usually only accept reservations for 1-3 night stays 6 weeks or less before your planned stay. As well, don’t forget we charge a one-time short-term guest fee for stays less than 5 nights.
Are laundry facilities available?
A washing machine and dryer are available for guests to use during their stay. A small fee is required. Cleaning supplies and devices (i.e. a vacuum cleaner) are available free of charge.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes, we do. Give us a short notice and we'll serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner in our estate café.
Where can I go shopping for food or other things I need?
There is a bakery located about 1 km away, in the adjacent village of Obereschach, which offers fresh bread, pastries and coffee as well as some groceries. From Bottenreute, you’ll find the bakery 100m after the Obereschach city-limits sign in a yellow house on the corner of an intersection on the right side of the street.
Two times per week (Mondays and Thursdays at around 9 a.m.) a merchant drives to the Hügle estate to offer fresh-baked goods from his ‘Fresh-mobile.’
In Oberhofen, which is roughly 2km from Bottenreute, you’ll find a mid-size grocery store, a post office and two banks.
If you need a larger selection of goods to choose from, Kaufland is a large grocery store that also offers a range of clothing and household items. It is located directly on the main road from Bottenreute/Obereschach into Ravensburg roughly 200m past the Ravensburg city-limits sign on the right-hand side.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Gasthof zum Loewen, or Lion’s Inn, (Dorfbrunnenstrasse 20/1, Gornhofen, Tel. (0751) 6 20 32) is located approx. 1km away in the quiet village of Gornhofen and offers traditional German cuisine.
Gasthof Igel, or Hedgehog Inn, (Liebenhofen 56, 88287 Gruenkraut, Tel. (0751) 6 28 98) is located slightly further away in Gruenkraut but offers original Swabish meals.
